Top Social Networking Apps on iOS in Sweden: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social networking apps on the iOS platform in Sweden exhibited varied trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user statistics for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Threads maintained a consistent presence in the Swedish market. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at around 16.6K and peaking at 19.5K in the first week of January. Despite a minor dip mid-quarter, active users showed resilience, starting at 624K and closing the quarter at approximately 588K.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a gradual decrease in downloads, beginning at 6.8K and ending the quarter at 6.1K. However, its weekly active users remained robust, averaging around 2.8M throughout the quarter, with a slight increase in early March.

The app 小红书 – 你的生活兴趣社区 experienced a notable spike in downloads in January, reaching 55K, before stabilizing to a range of 200-350 per week. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 34K early in the quarter and maintaining approximately 23K towards the end.

Google Meet observed a steady download pattern, with numbers rising from 2.1K to a peak of 5.6K by late January. Active users also increased from 26K to around 37K, especially noticeable in mid-March.

Signal - Private Messenger showed an interesting trend in downloads, with a significant increase in February, peaking at 7.2K. Active users grew consistently, beginning at 204K and ending the quarter at 248K.
